Preface: Some of you will have no patience for this post (and rightfully so) because I'm about to vent a bit about casual Fridays. And because its Monday. Feel free to come back tomorrow if you have zero interest in me calling Casual Friday's a challenge. I'm not at all insulted. Hasta Manana! No hard feelings.
For the rest of you, do you find Casual Friday's during this blazing hot summer to be a challenge at all? Because I totally do. Casual Friday at my office is jeans casual but we're still in Development in DC so its a bit dressier. And obviously jeans are out of the question this summer because it has been miser-a-BLE. I find myself always reaching for a chambray with a skirt because a) I'm not creative enough to come up with something else b) I'm usually running late. And then I feel like I have to balance out the chambray with heels. So Casual Friday's isn't always even comfortable Friday's because I'm in heels. I'd love love love to hear any of your suggestions as to how you handle Casual Friday's in a formal office especially in this HEAT. I'm running out of chambray/skirt/statement necklace combos! SOS! Help a girl out!
Also- Happy Monday (if there is such a thing). Clearly, I'm already dreaming about Friday.

I love this little rant about casual Fridays! Your casual Friday ends up becoming not so casual once you throw on some heels and a skirt! I'd try for a long maxi skirt that can still be dressed up somewhat. You could tuck in a blouse or wear a blazer with it. I'd also try to find casual dresses. Dresses and flats are my go to when its hot and I still need to look nice and professional in the office!
