ready for the west

One my closest sorority sisters is getting married this weekend and we have a few work events in CA coming up so I'm headed west for both and I couldn't be more excited. Work travel to CA is a total blessing to me. I try to fly almost exclusively Virgin America (THE best airline in my humble opinion) and with the inflight internet and big comfy seats, 5 hours breezes by. A Real Housewives marathon on Bravo also helps :) Comfort while flying is essential and this is pretty much my travel uniform: stretchy pants, pashmina to keep extra warm and a Longchamp carryall as the perfect carry on.

Comfort is also essential while going through security for me. I'm a pretty even keeled person for the most part but there is something about going through security that always sparks me! It's actually laughable how much it riles me up. Aaron always gives me a hard time which totally does not help. Between all the bare feet (I HATE bare feet! Ick), TSA hurdling everyone like cattle, and the people that cant seem to follow the rules (really people, nothing over 3.5oz!), airport security seriously gets me going. Its the worst part about flying. Good thing I always allow myself enough time to both get through security and have a glass of wine at the airport bar before boarding. I guess its just about finding that perfect balance :)

Have a great week everyone! Follow snapshots from my trip over on instagram! Thanks for stopping by :)
