Happy Tuesday, friends!
I imagine that you’re probably somewhat like me and that you are perusing blogs in an effort to procrastinate at work. It’s okay – we’re all in the same boat here. I’ll make another assumption here and suggest that you’re probably not sitting at work procrastinating wearing ripped jeans. You’re in some form of business casual. But color me jealous if you are wearing ripped jeans to work.
I love sharing all sorts of outfits but in all reality, I wear business casual four out of seven days a week meaning I’m in business casual more often than not. Truthfully, I think developing personal professional style takes more effort than developing your personal weekend style because you have to follow guidelines or rules with you professional style.
I plan to pepper in more workwear posts here and highlight versatile
pieces like this shift dress. I bought this dress for a wedding and wore it
with strappy sandals. It can be dressed up with a blazer and pumps like seen
here or with jean jacket and white Converse low tops at a casual work event. It
can be work with tights during winter or bare legged for spring. The cost per
wear for this dress has to be less than $5 which makes it a true closet staple.
Something very important to note in this post -- these shoes are the most comfortable heels I've ever worn and are only $30. I repeat these are comfortable work heels for $30! I have them in black too and they match everything. The sole is padded and the heel is 3.5 inches so its a comfortable all day height.
Unfortunately my dress is from last season but I've rounded up a whole lot of shift dresses for you to check out.
