transitioning to spring

It's ironic that I've scheduled this post for today since a lot of us are enjoying tolerating our second snow day in two weeks in DC. Earlier in winter, I would have enjoyed two snow days but by the time March comes along I'm shouting from the rooftops "GIVE ME ALL DA SPRING!"

I've put myself on a bit of a shopping moratorium. I'm too tempted by all this end of season sales but don't need any more chunky cozy sweaters or booties when I know in a month, I'll want to stock up on sundresses and sandals. I have to shop my closet to be more inventive with my current wardrobe.  Which presents a challenge during this in-between weather where its getting warmer  but not enough to go sans tights or jacket.

During a recent unseasonably warm day (around 45 degrees, ha)  I just couldn't bear to put on pants again. Instead, I paired my favorite chunky sweater with a maxi skirt which I anticipate will be my uniform (or some similar variation) until I can go pants and tights free until next fall. Spring is so close I can almost taste it.

I really don't have much to write except that.....

a) I've been getting so much use out of this blazer. It was the best $30 I've spent in a long time.

and b) I can't believe GCB was canceled after one season. Thank goodness for hulu.

Sometimes I like to blog to pretend that I'm having girl talk over a glass of wine with my bff/twinsie/soul sister that I'm 3000 miles away from. (Hi, Nicoley! Yes, her name is Nicole too...) So I like to share little updates on my life, tell a funny story, externally process life changes, etc.
