Fall was never my favorite season until I moved to DC. Fall in San Francisco looks a lot like the rest of the year with just a little more rain. But in DC, the leaves change color, the temperature drops, the air is crisp, it just FEELS like fall. Since I truly fell in love with DC my first fall here, I equate the fall season with falling in love with DC which has quickly made it my favorite season.
And October feels like the pinnacle of the season. Ammiright or ammiright? Judging by the number of tweets, instagrams, hashtags about October yesterday, I don't think I'm too far off base with that :) BRB- I'm off to go grab a PSL.
To fully take advantage of all that October has to offer, I've made a bucket list of things I want to do:
1. Go apple picking
2. Paint pumpkins with the BFF
3. Find the perfect pair of riding boots
4. Make (hard) spiced cider
5. Host a pumpkin beer tasting party
6. Support a breast cancer research charity
7. Bake pumpkin bread
8. Learn a new chilli recipe
9. Clean out my closet
10. Decide on a Halloween costume before October 30th (this one is always a toughie for me!)
Let's see how much of the list I get through by November. I may need an extension!
I need to create an October list and actually do it! It would be fun going apple picking and hosting a pumpkin beer tasting.

This is a great list! I'm going apple picking and camping later this month. I should probably also add clean out my closet to the list, but it's pretty much my least favorite thing EVER.
