leopard, chambray and black

There is nothing particularly fashion forward about this outfit. It's simple,  and it's easy -- but that is what I love about it.  I'm working really hard on streamlining (which is becoming the overused word of 2015 around here. Sorry!) so I'm relying heavily on closet utility players like a chambray shirt or black pants or a match-everything bag. Let's call them "elevated staples".  I'm hoping to eventually some day soon end up with a closet 80% "elevated staples" and 20% fun, trendy, phase out after a few seasons pieces.

Yes, you can count this jacket in the 20% of fun, trendy, phase out but I will say I've worn it far more times than I anticipated I would when I first bought it. It was on mega sale from ASOS and when I recently calculated the price per wear, it was between $3 and $4. That's literally the price of a coffee break at Stabucks, folks.
