red and black

I want to live a bit more simply this year (as noted in yesterday’s post) and an easy, tangible, and physical way to start doing that is streamlining my closet. I spent last weekend downsizing by pulling out things I haven’t worn in a year, things I always say I’m going to wear but don’t  and things that I just simply don’t like. (I’ll share more on this process in a later post.) What downsizing has left me with is a closet full of things I really love and are very me.

This combo of distressed denim, a chunky sweater and cap (to cover my roots screaming for help) has been the result of streamlining and is on major repeat. Why stray from a combo that works? So if you see me at the grocery store, at brunch, running errands, doing practically anything outside of my 9-5 job, I’ll likely be wearing some combo of the above. You’ve been warned.
