blush, leopard and army green

Another post and another outfit with my utility vest. I can't help it, I really love it. As temps warm up here --I feel like we skipped spring and went straight to summer-- I know that I won't be able to layer for too much longer so I'm trying to get the most out of my vest while I still can. I'll try not to flood you with you pictures of here it though but I admittedly did wear it two days in a row last week. Gasp!

Let's change gears for a second and talk productivity or my lack there of today. I have a few days of annual leave I need to use up before the end of the fiscal year so I decided to take today off to turn my Memorial Day weekend into a four day weekend. I'll be in Philly for work this week so I figured an extra day off to get caught up on chores around the house, grocery shop and plan out my blog posts for the week would be useful. And since in my head I had all the time in the world, I planned to go for a long run too. #ambitious.

You know what I actually did? I slept in, caught up on bad reality TV and ate. A lot. And I loved it.

Hope your week is off to a good start!

XO, Nicole

a dash of green

Happy St. Patrick's Day, friends! I'm not much of a green person so an army vest is going to have to be good enough for ya. Take it or leave it.

I celebrated on Saturday with friends who were having a day party which was perfect because it was so freaking beautiful out. Side note: it is snowing as I type this. Go home DC weather, you're drunk.  When plans were being made to head to the bars, this girl right here excused herself because she had plans to go the gym in the morning. Yes, you read that right. Rather than going out to the bars like every other 20 something in DC, I went home, had some tea and went to bed at 11 so I could be sure to make it to the gym the next day. WHO AM I?!

Perhaps it was a sign of maturity (ha) because in hindsight, St. Patrick's Day has never really been too good to me. Let's not head down memory lane or anything; just trust me when I say that green beer is not my friend. Think Kristin Cavallari frenemy status. <----- I've been rewatching The Hills recently. Don't judge.
